This has been our bucket list of San Francisco "must do's" probably since Max first moved to The Bay, and we stumbled upon the museum while visiting The Presidio for the first time. As a couple that is into animation and the history of animation and lovers of Disney movies this was the perfect date day for us, and will continue to be one because we made sure to save parts of the museum for later visits. Instead of paying about $40 for the two of us to view the museum and the Special Exhibition- MAGIC, COLOR, FLAIR: the world of Mary Blair we opted for the $60 student membership which allows Max to bring 1 guest with him each visit and because we plan to come back a few more times we decided that was the best deal for us.
We did not snap many pictures because we were so busy reading, and taking in the artwork surrounding us. Plans to visit again in late August are in the works, and we are excited to see the second half of the Mary Blair Exhibit. Mary Blair's work is so breathtakingly beautiful that I found myself in awe her talent was something special and the exhibit does a great job at showcasing her work, letting you know about her history and just giving you a glimpse at one of Disney's favorite artists.

Miniature model of Disneyland commissioned by his daughter. The model version displays aspects of the park from Disney's mind and what he envisioned Disneyland to look like, rides and attractions that were never built, and rides and attractions that he wanted built or were built after his death. With a small tribute to the orange orchard that the land once was placed behind its a small world.
